Samsung Galaxy A80 featuring Rotating Camera, Snapdragon 730 launched in India at 47,990 (700 USD)

After debuting a couple of months ago in Thailand Samsung launched the Galaxy A80 in India today at 47,990. It will go on sale from 1st of August and pre-booking will start from 22nd July.

Samsung is on a launch spree for the past few months and the latest addition is Galaxy A80 with the company’s New Infinity Display, this display is Samsung first go at Notch-less design language. The display is a Full-HD+ 6.7 inch Super-AMOLED panel with 20:9 aspect ratio which also has a Finger-Print Sensor underneath it. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 processor with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and please note that there is no memory card support unlike other Samsung devices. As mentioned before it sports a Triple Camera Set-Up which also rotates to take Selfie pics as well. The primary sensor is a 48-MP one with an f/2.0 lens and a 8-MP secondary sensor with Ultra-Wide-Angle 123-degree f/2.2 lens. There is also a 3D depth camera for better focus and better results. A80 packs in a 3700 mAh battery with 25W Fast Charging support with Type-C port and talking of ports please note that there also is no 3.5 mm Headphone Jack as well, but has Dolby Atmos with Bluetooth 5.0. Galaxy A80 runs on One UI on top of Android Pie and has Always ON display.

Galaxy A80 is available with one 8 GB and 128 GB variant and is priced at 47,990  with lower than the Global price of 50,000 (EUR 649). It is pitted against the likes of OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, One Plus 7 Pro etc. A80 will be available across E-commerce sites, Retail Stores and Samsung Opera House. It comes in three colour variants which are Phantom Black, Ghost White and Angel Gold.
