Infinix Mobile a Hong-Kong based smart-phone manufacturer is eyeing to disrupt the entry-level segment with the launch of it’s latest smart-phone the Hot 8. The smartphone was already teased by Flipkart and today the smart-phone was launched in India at a price tag of 6,999. To the phone’s credit it does offer amazing specs for the price and should give a tough competition to Realme and Redmi.

Infinix Hot 8 specs
Infinix Hot 8 comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD Display with a tear-drop notch which the company likes to call – Mini Drop Notch. The aspect ratio of the display is 20:9 and the screen-to-body ratio is 90.3%. The display also boasts 450 nits brightness and a contrast-ratio of 1500:1. At the front we get a 2.5D Glass and at the back we get a poly-carbonate based gradient back. The phone also comes with a finger-print sensor on the back.
Infinix Hot 8 sports a rear triple-camera set-up a first for the segment . The primary sensor is a 13-megapixel with an aperture of f/1.8, 2-megapixel depth-sensor and a dedicated low-light sensor with a Quad-LED flash. For the selfie duties we get a 8-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 with a dedicated flash.
As for the performance is concerned the Hot 8 is powered by MediaTek Helio P22. The Helio P22 is a 2.0 GHz Octa-Core processor based on a 12 nm manufacturing process. The Hot 8 comes with 4 GB of RAM coupled with 64 GB of internal storage. The phone comes with Dual-Nano SIM Card slots and a dedicated Micro-SD slot and the storage is expandable upto 256 GB.
On the software front the phone comes with XOS 5.0 Cheetah based on Android Pie 9.0. The phones comes with Game Boost, Bike Mode, Super Screenshot, Multi-Window etc. The phone uses Dirac Stereo Widening Technology for enhanced audio experience and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also comes with a massive 5,000 mAh battery.
Infinix Hot 8 availability and offers
